Authentication and Legislation of Documents

The Foreign Affairs Department is the designated competent authority for the authentication and legalization of documents issued in Seychelles for overseas use.

Documents from Government offices require an apostille before they can be authenticated. Private documents, including copies of original documents, should be notarized and then apostilled before authentication by the Department.
