Ambassador Sylvestre Radegonde takes office as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism
Today, the staff of Foreign Affairs Department eagerly awaited the arrival of the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Minister Sylvestre Radegonde.
Minister Radegonde was previously posted in Paris as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France for the Republic of Seychelles, with concurrent accreditation as Ambassador to: Russia, Andorra, Austria, Cabo Verde, Italy, Morocco, Monaco, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
Shortly after being sworn into office in the presence of President Wavel Ramkalawan at State House, Minister Radegonde arrived at Maison Quéau de Quinssy, where he will take office. The Minister right away, upon arrival, began a tour of the building, greeting every staff of the Department in their respective offices.
The staff of Foreign Affairs Department welcomed Minister Radegonde and look forward to a positive and dynamic working environment under his guidance and leadership.
Minister Radegonde ended his first official day as Minister by hosting a virtual ‘Zoom’ meeting with the Seychelles’ overseas diplomatic missions.
