Accreditation of Seychelles Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany

The new non-resident Seychelles Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, Ambassador Derick Ally presented his credentials to the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Mr Frank-Walter Steinmeier in a ceremony in Berlin on Tuesday 07 May 2019.
During his audience with President Steinmeier, Ambassador Ally conveyed the greetings of the President and people of Seychelles and thanked the Federal President for the assistance that Germany continues to provide to Seychelles through various international bodies. The President acknowledged the role that Seychelles continues to play in maritime security in our region and said that during Germany’s membership of the UN Security Council, Climate and Security will feature high on Germany’s agenda.
The Seychelles Honorary Consul of Seychelles in Berlin, Professor Nikolaus Fuchs accompanied Ambassador Ally for the accreditation ceremony.
Ambassador Ally also had several other meetings with senior officials in Berlin where he discussed Technical and Vocational Education, renewable energy, maritime security, tourism, climate change, among others. He also met with the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law.
Both Germany and Seychelles have expressed the desire to find ways to further enhance the already excellent bilateral cooperation between them.
