Seychelles’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ronny Jumeau and Principal Counsellor Myrna Hoareau are two Seychelles’ representatives attending the 5th e-Governance Conference in Tallinn Estonia on 21 until 22 May.

Ambassador Jumeau is attending the conference as part of a group of 21 Ambassadors from the United Nations, whereas Ms. Hoareau is attending as part of an Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) delegation whereby all member states are represented.

The e-Governance Conference organized by the e-Governance Academy (eGA) of Estonia, is this year themed e-Governance Same Goals, Different Roadmaps. The goal of the conference is to present high-level government officials, different models of digital transformation and exhibit the possibilities of developing the use of e-services. This is to allow and guide governments to create their own digital transformation roadmap so that they may navigate the international trend of e-governance and its impact.

In the program, several in-process digital transformation roadmaps are being presented to showcase how governments are already implementing efforts to achieve their SDG goals. The President of Estonia, H.E Kersti Kaljulaid, delivered the keynote address in welcoming all participants to the conference.
