Department of Foreign Affairs celebrates International Women’s Day
The staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs today joined together to celebrate the International Woman’s Day. This is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This year’s theme ‘Think equal, build smart, innovate for change’ focuses on innovative ways in which we can advance gender equality and the empowerment of women, particularly in the areas of social protection.
It was indeed a very kind gesture on the part of the male staff of the DFA to present red roses to their female colleagues during this morning’s rendez-vous over refreshments.
