Honouring the 16 Days of Activism against Gender based Violence, a group of female ambassadors based in Havana, Cuba organized on 6th December a small exhibition to showcase and honour strong and inspiring women, past and present, who have acquired respect and recognition for their great work and for the difference they have made in their respective societies.

For Seychelles, Ambassador Lalatiana Accouche presented a picture of the late Minister Danielle Jorre de St Jorre who played an iconic role in Seychelles’ cultural revolution. Her contribution in the linguistic field brought her international recognition as a pioneer and leader in the development of the Creole language.

It is interesting to note that Cuba hosts a large diplomatic corps with thirty five Missions headed by female ambassadors.
