Historic ties reaffirmed- Ashanti King ends visit to Seychelles

The Asantehene (King) of the Kingdom of Ashanti, His Majesty King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and his entourage concluded their visit to the Seychelles. The Ashanti King was the guest of honour at the 5th edition of the Seychelles Carnaval International de Victoria.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Transport, Mr Joël Morgan along with his colleague Minister Responsible for Finance, Trade and the Blue Economy, Mr Jean-Paul Adam and the Minister for Tourism and Culture Mr Alain St. Ange bade farewell to His Majesty King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. 

The King expressed his pleasure after visiting Seychelles and reiterated that the natural beauty of these islands (Seychelles) and the hospitality of the Seychellois people precedes it.

On his part, Minister Morgan expressed his desire to the King to see a further strengthening of cooperation between Ghana and Seychelles and hoped to work closely on future projects together.

The Ghanaian and Seychellois people share a rich and vibrant history which translates into our respective nations will to readily progress our developmental agenda, to promote equitable people centred growth of our two countries said Minister Joël Morgan.
