The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the public that as of today, 26th June, Seychellois passport holders who are travelling to China for leisure will no longer require a visa.

The Seychelles Foreign Minister, Mr. Jean-Paul Adam, signed the visa waiver agreement with the Chinese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Xie Hangsheng, in a ceremony held at Maison Quéau de Quinssy during the Vice Minister’s working visit earlier this year.

The waiver signed, which has come into force today, allows for Seychellois passport holders of all types to enter China for a period of up to 30 days visa free.

The landmark visa waiver agreement with the People’s Republic of China has made Seychelles the first African country to have visa free travel for all passports with China.
