India funds small community high impact projects

The Indian High Commissioner, H. E General Dalbir Singh Suhag, and the Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and of the Blue Economy, Ambassador Barry Faure, witnessed today the signing of implementation contracts for a number of small community high impact projects.
For the implementation of these projects, which include the renovation of school properties, investment in youth and sports facilities, among others, the Government of India has provided a cash grant of SCR35 million. During the ceremony, High Commissioner Dalbir Singh Suhag stated “The objective of this grant is to benefit the common people and to impact community development.”
Principal Secretary for Local Government, Ms. Marie-Celine Vidot, and the Principal Secretary for Tertiary Education and Human Resource Development, Dr. Linda Barallon, represented their respective ministries as they took upon the signing of the contracts. Both Principal Secretaries expressed their gratitude for this grant and asserted to see through all projects.
