Introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) United Kingdom and Northern Ireland
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism would like to inform the public that since 25 October 2023, the United Kingdom (UK) has introduced an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) scheme for all nationals who do not require a visa for a short stay or do not have valid UK Immigration status. The UK ETA scheme will be implemented by phases.
On 27 November 2024, the UK ETA scheme will be opened for applications from the Seychelles nationals requiring travel to the UK as from 8th January 2025. The ETA will cost GBP10 per person.
It is to be noted that the ETA does not guarantee entry into UK. It is simply a ‘permission to travel’ and visitors with an ETA are still subjected to normal immigration procedures.
