Foreign Minister Jean-Paul Adam has today called on the final rehearsal of the Seychellois children due to depart for the International Children’s Friendship Festival in Seattle on Sunday.

The team of 12 young people under the age of 14, who have been training hard in recent months under the guidance of Ambassador Erna Athanasius and her team, will be participating in the festival and showcasing their respective talents to their peers.

On meeting the children Minister Adam wished them well and congratulated them for using their skills and talents to fly the Seychelles flag high in their coming adventure:

“It is a great pleasure to see young people seize the opportunity to showcase their capabilities, become young Ambassadors for our country, and show over 2000 of their peers what Seychelles is about.”

The Ambassador for Women and Children Affairs, Dr. Erna Athanasius, who is also the Chair of the organizing committee launched a call for auditions in December last year and has since been engaged with the committee and the families of the finalists to organize various shows and fundraising activities.
