Minister Radegonde meets international head of judo

Foreign Affairs and Tourism Minister, Sylvestre Radegonde, met with the President of the International Judo Federation (IJF), Mr Marius Vizer on Sunday 4th July.

Minister Radegonde met Mr Vizer in the latter’s office in Budapest, Hungary, on the sidelines of his official visit to Hungary on the second leg of his 3-nation tour of Central Europe, which has already taken him to Vienna, Austria and will then take him to Zagreb, Croatia.

During their hour-long meeting, the two men discussed cooperation between IJF and Seychelles. They agreed that international cooperation between the two must be stepped up. To this end, Mr. Vizer informed, the Minister that just after the Tokyo Olympic, he will see to it that IJF and relevant authorities in Seychelles work towards the implementation of the Judo in Schools programme which is already showing excellent results in other countries where it is underway.

During his meeting with Mr Vizer, Minister Radegonde was accompanied by Mr Ralph Agrippine, Chargé d’affaires a.i. at the Seychelles embassy in France.
