Iceland has an economic base that is quite similar to that of Seychelles as fishing and tourism are key industries in both countries. However, Iceland has a much more advanced tertiary sector than Seychelles and its services are centered on biotechnology and computer science. Unlike Seychelles which is dependent on imported fuel, Iceland main energy source is renewable energy which is available domestically. Iceland is the world’s seventh most productive country in the world.
