The Chevening Scholarship is an acclaimed scholarship programme which has enabled young professionals and students from all over the world, including Seychelles, to achieve their full academic potential by giving them the opportunity to follow postgraduate university courses in the United Kingdom.

I acquired a Masters Degree in International Political Economy at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom- after having successfully applied to the Chevening Scholarship Programme. Today, I am proud to be an alumnus and scholar of this program, which has sought to identify leadership characteristics in Seychellois youth and develop their intellectual capabilities to the benefit of country as a whole. As such, I urge all Seychellois professionals to apply for the Chevening Scholarship, which will not only contribute to their future opportunities but will ensure that they can fully contribute to the continued development of Seychelles.

I am further encouraged that the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office has doubled the number of Scholarships made available to Seychellois applicants which not only demonstrates the close rapport shared with the United Kingdom but is also  testament to the calibre of the candidates in Seychelles

On behalf of the Government of Seychelles I wish to thank the British Government for its unwavering support of young Seychellois and reiterate my call to all Seychellois graduates to apply for this prestigious program and join the ranks of an ever growing Seychelles Chevening alumni.
