The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held its biannual Ambassadors retreat to emphasise the need to analyse both its foreign policy direction and to strategise on the strategic plan for the Ministry in view of President Danny Faure’s call to have a more targeted and pragmatic approach to international relations.

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Joel Morgan convened the retreat which was held at the Kempinski Resort and Spa and noted that “ Foreign Policy  should be based on our country’s domestic priorities, and reflect the fresh orientations announced by President Faure within a highly dynamic and complex international environment.”

The strategic plan 2020 was elaborated to reflect core tenets of President Danny Faure’s call for transparency, good governance and accountability and placing the Seychellois people at the centre of development in line with the National Development Strategy and Sustainable Development Goals.
