Principle Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mr. Maurice Loustau-Lalanne and the Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union Delegation Mr. Guy Samzun signed the Agreement on behalf of Seychelles and the European Union.

This new Technical Cooperation Facility (TCF) amounting to a total of €100,000 will finance activities to support Seychelles in the preparations of the 11th EDF programmes; take on technical assistance in development issues among various stakeholders and promote the participation of development partners in international EU related programmes.

The TCF will help to support the transition of Seychelles towards sustainable growth by improving capacities to match the pace of social and economic development of the country. The limited supply of qualified labour in Seychelles is a major constraint to sustainable development and the Government of Seychelles is giving high priority to the developing  the national capacities.
