Newly accredited Ethiopian Ambassador calls on Secretary of State Faure and Principal Secretary Confait.

The newly accredited Ambassador of the Republic of Ethiopia to Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Meles Alem Tika, was received by the Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and of the Blue Economy, Ambassador Barry Faure, and the Principal Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Marina Confait, today, at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Faure extended his welcome and congratulations to Ambassador Tika and expressed his eagerness in solidifying and furthering relations between Ethiopia and Seychelles.
In expressing his appreciation, Ambassador Tika stated “We are grateful for your warm welcome and reception to this beautiful and magnificent country, Seychelles”.
He also affirmed and reiterated Ambassador Faure’s hope for cooperation in the years to come. “The visit will help us look into points we have to address in the future,” said Ambassador Tika.
Diplomatic relations between Ethiopia and Seychelles were established on 14 April 1982.
