Panel discussion held on Team Commonwealth

As part of the activities leading up to the Commonwealth Day, the ministry of Foreign affairs co-hosted a panel discussions on the theme of Team Commonwealth at the auditorium of the Seychelles Institute of Teachers Education.
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean-Paul Adam spoke as part of a five-person panel to the audience of the auditorium, highlighting the relevance of the Commonwealth and its place in the world. The panelists engaged in discourse with members of the audience; various views ranging from the critical to the positive of the Commonwealth were discussed.
Minister Adam spoke of ‘Team Commonwealth’ in the context of fifty-three diverse countries that combine to form a strong unit. Â As such, the strength of the commonwealth lies in the individual talents of all its members.
The Minister also took the opportunity to highlight this year’s theme “is a celebration of the team spirit that unites the 53 countries that make up the Commonwealth and of the values and aspirations that they all share in creating just and peaceful societies, in achieving sustainable and inclusive social progress, in advancing democracy and in building economic resilience.”
