President Faure sends message of condolence to Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau following mosque shooting in Quebec

Following the fatal shooting in a mosque in Quebec, Canada leaving six dead and wounding many others, President Danny Faure has written a message of condolence to Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Seychelles. 

In his message President Faure noted that it was with extreme sadness that he had learnt of the senseless shooting resulting in the loss of innocent lives.

 “Our thoughts are with the families of the bereaved who are forced to endure the heavy burden of grief in the wake of this horror. Our prayers are also with those injured in this terrible tragedy,” said President Faure.

President Faure said that Seychelles stands firmly with Canada in this dark moment and condemns this cowardly act of terrorism. It was also the Presidents wish that those responsible would be brought speedily to justice.
