Seychelles Permanent Mission to the United Nations, New York, 13 June 2018: Ambassador Ronny Jumeau is Seychelles’ new High Commissioner to Canada after he presented his letters of credence to Canadian Governor General Julie Payette at the Citadelle in Quebec City last week.

Ambassador Jumeau was accompanying President Danny Faure on his way to the Group of Seven (G7) Outreach Leaders session on oceans at the same time as Governor General Payette was in Quebec City to host an official dinner for the visiting Heads of State, government and international organisations.

The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposed that Ambassador Jumeau, who was then the High Commissioner-Designate, take advantage of the occasion to present his credentials as a gesture of the excellent relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Jumeau consequently presented his letters of credence to the Governor General on 8 June at the Citadelle, her official residence in Quebec City.

High Commissioner Jumeau is based in New York where he is already Seychelles’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Ambassador to the United States.
