The Seychelles Honorary Consul in Bulgaria, Mr. Maxim Behar, has been elected Chairman of the Communication Forum in Davos after a secret vote of 25 Board members held on the 2nd of April.

Mr. Behar has been a member of the board for 2 years and has been an active participant of the Forum since its establishment, delivering lectures and participating in debates.

“This is an exceptional recognition for my business achievements, for my native country Bulgaria, my colleagues, but also for beautiful Seychelles, the country I have been serving with passion and love for the past ten years,” Behar says.

Two other Board members also received the same number of votes, resulting in the decision to have three Co-chairs managing the Forum – Mr. Maxim Behar, Mr. Andre Manning, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Royal Philips Electronics, and Ms. Janina Dubeykovskaya, Program Director of the Forum in Davos.

Mr. Behar says the idea to co-chair the Forum was an interesting experiment that would allow each of the three to focus on different topics and make their constant meetings across the globe with local PR organizations more effective.

The Honorary Consul has extensive experience in Public Relations, spanning 25 years, and has had a strong influence on Bulgaria’s political and business life.

In addition to his new role, Mr. Behar is the treasurer of the ICCO Executive Board and founder and CEO of the leading Bulgarian PR company M3 Communications Group. Since 2012, he is also the Head of the Office of the leading Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Prague.

Behar is member of numerous Bulgarian and international boards and lectures at numerous international universities.

The PR Forum Communication on Top in Davos sets the goal to bring together communication experts and innovators and provide a platform for exchange of ideas, trends and strategies. 150 people from 35 countries attended it this year, which was a record in the Forum’s history.
