Beau Vallon, Seychelles: The United Arab Emirates mission in Seychelles hosted a reception at the Savoy Resort and Spa to celebrate the UAE’s national day yesterday.

Seychelles was represented at the celebration by Minister of Health, Mr. Jean-Paul Adam, who is also the former Minister of Foreign Affairs (2010-2015).

Celebrating the UAE’s 47th anniversary since their independence, Minister Adam expressed his honour in sharing the occasion with the Chargé d’Affaires of the UAE, Mr. Ahmed Saeed Alneyadi, and his staff. In his toast he said:

“The relationship between the UAE and Seychelles is very strong and has even greater potential to be further deepened and developed in a variety of areas. As an additional expression of the excellent ties of friendship and cooperation shared between our two brotherly nations, the first session of the Joint Commission between Seychelles and the UAE was successfully concluded in Abu Dhabi last week. The roadmap designed during the Joint Commission will no doubt boost our relationship to a much higher level”.

After independence from Britain, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujayrah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Qaywayn came together as the United Arab Emirates in 1971.

The Emirati embassy in Seychelles is headed by Chargé d’Affaires, Mr. Ahmed Saeed Alneyadi.
