The High Commissioner – designate of Rwanda pays courtesy call on Minister Radegonde

On Monday 26 April 2021, the High Commissioner – designate of the Republic of Rwanda to Seychelles, H.E. Gen. Major Charles Karamba paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde. H.E Gen. Major Karamba, will be accredited as the fourth High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to Seychelles on Tuesday 27 April 2021, before President Wavel Ramkalawan, at the Statehouse.
The Minister welcomed the High Commissioner – designate to Seychelles and spoke of the desire to further develop cooperation in the tourism sector with Rwanda including the sharing of expertise and exchanges of students in tourism establishments in the two respective countries.
“Relations between our two countries are excellent as members of La Francophonie, the Commonwealth and the African Union. I look forward to working with you during your tenure to further enhance and broaden the relationship between our two countries” also added Minister Radegonde.
On his part, H.E. Gen. Major Charles Karamba congratulated Minister Radegonde on his new post as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism. He also highlighted some areas were both parties could collaborate including tourism, fisheries and education.
Also in attendance at the meeting were Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Marina Confait and senior officers of the Foreign Affairs Department.
Seychelles and Rwanda established diplomatic relations in 2006.
