The New German Ambassador to Seychelles is Accredited

The new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Seychelles, H.E. Mrs Annett Günther, presented her credentials to President Danny Faure at State House yesterday.
President Faure extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Günther and congratulated her on her accreditation. During discussions, President Faure expressed Seychelles’ satisfaction with the excellent relations that exist with the Federal Republic of Germany and expressed his wish to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The President further underlined Seychelles’ appreciation for the strong support that Germany continues to provide, particularly in the field of sustainable development, issues related to the challenges of Small Islands Developing States, maritime security, renewable energy, tourism and climate change. He noted that the Government of Seychelles is grateful that it can continue to count on Germany for support in meeting some of its development aspirations.
On her part, Ambassador Annett Günther gave her commitment to do her best throughout her tenure to enhance the diplomatic relations between Germany and Seychelles, by bringing tangible results in the areas of cooperation highlighted by the President.
Ambassador Annett Günther will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Also present at the accreditation ceremony was the Secretary of State in the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Barry Faure, Honorary Consul of Germany in Seychelles, Mrs Kerstin Henri, and First Secretary in the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ms Patsy Moustache.
