The Seychelles Ambassadors are all meeting in Seychelles this weekend for their biennial retreat. This year, the key points of discussion will involve the Seychelles’ Foreign Policy positions on key issues on the international agenda and also the role of ‘Thematic’ Ambassadors and Digital Diplomacy, amongst other topics.
To kick start the retreat however, the Ambassadors will spend all of Friday in the District Administration offices, all over Mahé and Praslin, engaging with public officials.
At the end of the first day’s panel discussions, the Department of Foreign Affairs will host a ‘Vin d’Honneur’ for all Diplomatic and Consular representatives based in Seychelles. The Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Vice President Meriton, will host a lunch for the Ambassadors on Saturday.
The Retreat ends on Sunday, a day ahead of the opening of the Seychelles Diplomatic Convention 2018.
