Travel and Safety Advisory – Seychellois Nationals in the Middle East and Those Considering Travel to the Region
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, through the Embassy of the Republic of Seychelles in Abu Dhabi, wishes to inform all Seychellois nationals residing across the Middle East that, in light of the rapidly evolving security situation in the region, the Government of Seychelles strongly urges all nationals to prioritise their safety and take immediate steps to relocate to safer and more secure locations, while airspace in the region remains open and commercial flights are still operational.
The situation remains unpredictable, and conditions may deteriorate with little or no notice.
- Immediate Consideration to Leave the Region
All Seychellois nationals are strongly advised to make arrangements to leave the region and relocate to Seychelles or another secure country, where feasible. Personal safety must take precedence over all other considerations.
- The Embassy stands ready to:

- Support nationals in identifying viable and safe travel routes
2. Nationals are strongly encouraged to act without delay, as:

4. Nationals intending to depart are requested to inform the Embassy in advance of their travel plans to facilitate coordination and support where necessary.
- Travel Documentation and Validity Requirements
- Nationals intending to travel are strongly advised to ensure that all travel documents are valid, up to date, and readily accessible prior to departure.

- Keep both physical and digital copies of important documents, including passports, visas, and travel itineraries
- Carry essential documents at all times during travel
2. Nationals are further reminded that passports that have been manually extended may not be accepted by certain countries or airlines, particularly for transit or entry purposes.
3. Nationals holding manually extended passports are strongly urged to contact the Embassy without delay for guidance prior to making any travel arrangements.
4. Failure to ensure proper documentation may result in denied boarding, refusal of entry, or delays at border control points.
- If Departure is Not Immediately Possible
- Follow all instructions issued by local authorities without exception
- Stay prepared to depart at short notice should an opportunity arise
- Prioritise personal safety at all times
- Employment and Workplace Considerations
