Vice President Meriton receives Honorary Cultural Ambassador Patrick Victor

On the occasion of his recent appointment as Honorary Cultural Ambassador, Mr. Patrick Victor paid a courtesy call on Vice President Vincent Meriton, this morning at Maison Quéau de Quincy. Also present at the meeting to congratulate Mr. Victor, were Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and of the Blue Economy, Ambassador Barry Faure, and the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Marina Confait.
“We thank you for accepting this post which will allow you to be able to play an even bigger role as an architect of our country’s arts & cultural heritage”, conveyed VP Meriton.
“Your role as Honorary Cultural Ambassador will give more prominence to Seychelles’ arts and culture, both locally and internationally and will enable you to create more events and activities to involve the youth, schools and communities” added VP Meriton.
Ambassador Faure and Dr. Confait both reiterated their congratulations and endeavor to work with Mr. Victor as a cultural ambassador in the context of diplomacy.
On his part, Mr. Victor underscored his heartfelt appreciation for being bestowed with such a role and for being recognized for his influence and contribution in the arts and cultural domain.
As a highly revered and celebrated artist, Mr. Victor in his new capacity as Honorary Cultural Ambassador, will promote the Seychelles culture locally, regionally and internationally.
