Opening remarks for Minister Sylvestre Radegonde on the occasion of the meeting with the resident Consular Corps in Seychelles.

Resident Honorary Consuls,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Maison Quéau de Quinssy and have the opportunity to meet you officially for the first time as distinguished representatives of your respective countries.  As you may well have gathered, this meeting is a continuation of our journey together, to which I wish to open up new perspectives for the future.

I want to take this opportunity to salute the solidarity, dedication and invaluable contributions you make to the socio-economic development of our country.

Let it be noted that the President and I commend all those who are already working in this direction, whether directly or indirectly, as your work further underlines the close and permanent nature of the privileged and friendly ties that we share.

Seychelles is truly proud and honoured to work with you!

I welcome this meeting as an opportunity for us to exchange views on your work and your role as representatives of your respective countries in Seychelles, allowing you to interact with the Minister and senior officials of the Ministry this afternoon.

It is equally fitting for me to convey to you the Government's resolve to continue the engagement with your respective jurisdictions, strengthening our excellent relations of friendship and cooperation for the well-being of our peoples.

I look forward to our discussions to improve our work in the service of our nations.
